AVA
AVA is AntV's framework for AI-driven data analysis. It connects to data, executes queries and calculations, and recommends visualizations. Its visualization workflow uses GPT-Vis to render chart configurations.
You can keep the analysis and rendering in the same application. With an initialized AVA instance and GPT-Vis instance:
const result = await ava.analyze('Which region brings in the most revenue?');
const visualization = await ava.visualize(result);
if (visualization) {
chart.render(visualization.config);
}AVA's visualize() returns a chart type, a GPT-Vis configuration, and standalone HTML when a visualization can be generated. You can render the configuration in your own interface, save it for later, or apply your own theme configuration through the GPT-Vis instance.
- Try AVA's analysis interface with your data and model configuration.
- AVA visualization guide covers
visualize(),recommend(), andviz(). - Explore the homepage examples: switch between rankings, trends, and grouped comparisons, then inspect source values or copy the chart JSON. These examples use fixed sample data and predefined findings.
Upcoming analytical expression
Annotations, externally computed statistical ranges, facets, and structured selection events are planned GPT-Vis capabilities. These will let an application place findings on charts and use selections as input to further analysis. Query execution and analysis remain in AVA or your own application.
MCP
The AntV chart MCP server exposes chart tools to compatible MCP clients. Follow that project’s installation instructions and supported tool list. Its release and capabilities are maintained separately from the GPT-Vis browser SDK.
Markdown ecosystem
The following packages connect GPT-Vis to Markdown renderers. Check each package’s current version and supported API before use.
| Package | Ecosystem | Description |
|---|---|---|
| rehype-gpt-vis | Unified / rehype | For unified ecosystem (react-markdown, MDX, etc.) |
| markdown-it-gpt-vis | markdown-it | For markdown-it (Vitepress, VuePress, etc.) |
| marked-gpt-vis | Marked | For Marked (Hexo, GitBook, etc.) |
